Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026 — How we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Introduction
jobaye is a platform owned and operated by Coderzon Technologies Private Limited("Coderzon," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at AKL Heights, Seaport–Airport Road, near Bharata Matha College, Thrikkakara, Edappally, Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala 682021. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies when you use our Platform, mobile or web applications, or any related services.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. Where the law requires your consent for a specific activity — such as optional communications, or making certain details visible to others — we rely on the separate choices you make in your settings or at the point of collection, and you may withdraw that consent at any time. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Name, email address, password, phone number, and location
- Profile details — headline, bio, profile photo, social links (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, website)
- Resume / CV files you upload
- Skills, work experience, education, and projects
- Job applications, posts, and other content you share on the Platform
- Information about companies you create or manage
- Reports or complaints you submit
2.2 Automatically Collected
- IP address and approximate location
- Device type, operating system, browser, and language
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and interactions
2.3 Third-Party Sign-In
If you sign in via Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not access your contacts, calendar, files, or any other Google data.
2.4 Analytics and Usage Insights
We use analytics to understand how the Platform is used and to keep it secure. This includes your approximate location (country and region only), estimated from your IP address, along with general usage statistics such as pages viewed and visit counts. We handle this information in a privacy-conscious manner, we do not use advertising or behavioural-tracking networks, and any estimated location is approximate — it indicates a general area, not a precise position.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform
- Match you with relevant job opportunities and recommended content
- Enable employers to view your application materials when you apply
- Send transactional notifications (account, security, application updates)
- Improve features, performance, and user experience
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Review and moderate posts and content for compliance with our Terms
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
- Communicate with you about updates, changes, or important notices
Job matching & recommendations. To suggest relevant jobs to you and help employers find suitable candidates, we analyse information in your profile, résumé, and job listings — such as skills, experience, and role details — using automated matching technology to rank and recommend opportunities and candidates. These suggestions support decision-making; employers make their own hiring decisions, and you can edit or hide profile details at any time to influence what is used.
4. Public Content Notice
Information you add to your profile or otherwise choose to make visible — including your name, photo, headline, experience, skills, links, posts, and projects — may be viewed by other users, employers, and recruiters on the Platform, and shareable profile links may be publicly accessible on the internet. When you apply for a role, the details and documents you submit are shared with the relevant employer (see Section 5).
Please exercise caution when sharing personal or sensitive information. Once content is made public, it may be cached, archived, or copied by third parties beyond our control.
Public by default
Your name, profile photo, headline, bio, skills, experience, education, projects, public links, posts you publish, and your shareable profile link.
Private by default — not publicly visible
Your email address, phone number, résumé/CV files, and job-application documents. These are shared only when you apply to a role (with that employer), or where you have specifically chosen to make a detail visible in your settings.
5. How We Share Your Information
5.1 With Employers When You Apply
When you apply for a job, your application details — including your profile information, resume, and any additional information you provide — are shared with the employer or recruiter who posted the role, so they can consider your application. Employers who receive your data act as independent controllers of it and are contractually required to use it only to consider you for that role and to comply with applicable data-protection laws (see our Terms of Service). While we cannot control an employer's own internal systems, we remain responsible for the information we store, process, secure, and share, and we will act on valid reports of misuse. We encourage you to review an employer's privacy practices before applying.
5.2 With Service Providers
We share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the Platform — for example, cloud hosting, secure file storage and delivery, email delivery, and sign-in services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and to use it only to provide the services we engage them for. We do not share your information with advertising networks or third-party behavioural-tracking services.
5.3 We Do Not Sell Your Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
5.4 Legal Disclosure
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud, ensure user safety, or investigate violations of our Terms.
5.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and provide options where required by law.
5.6 Our Team and Administrators
Authorized members of our team and Platform administrators may access your information where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, moderate, support, and protect the Platform — for example, to review reported content, resolve disputes, provide support, prevent fraud or abuse, or comply with legal obligations. Such access is limited to what is necessary for these purposes and is subject to internal access controls.
6. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or external job postings. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of these external sites. When you leave the Platform via an external link, your interaction with that site is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.
7. Data Storage and Transfer
Your data may be stored, processed, and transferred outside India by our service providers. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any international transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) to protect information while it is transmitted
- Passwords protected using salted one-way hashing — never stored in plain, readable text
- Encryption of sensitive contact details (such as email and phone number) when stored
- Access-controlled storage for uploaded files and documents
- Secure sign-in and protected session management
- Safeguards against automated abuse and excessive requests
- Ongoing security reviews and restricted internal access to personal data
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information using commercially reasonable means, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
Data breaches. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will investigate promptly and notify affected users and the relevant authorities where and within the timelines required by applicable law.
9. Data Retention
- Active accounts: retained while your account remains active
- Deleted accounts: when you delete your account, your profile, résumé and uploaded files, posts, and other personal data are permanently removed — including from our file storage and content-delivery network — within 30 days. We keep only a minimal record of your name and email address, and the fact and date of deletion, solely to prevent fraud and abuse (for example, to stop a suspended user from re-registering). We also retain records where the law, or the fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution and legal-obligation exceptions below, require it.
- Job application records: retained for up to 2 years after the application or last activity, for fraud prevention and dispute resolution
- Usage analytics: aggregated visit and usage statistics are kept for a limited period (around 30 days) and hold only an approximate location, not your identity
- Security & access logs: records kept for account security, fraud prevention, and audit purposes (which may include an IP address) are retained only for as long as necessary for those purposes or as required by law, and are then deleted or anonymised
- Backups: may persist for a limited period after deletion as part of disaster-recovery cycles
We cannot guarantee immediate or complete erasure in every case. Where the law, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup and disaster-recovery requirements oblige us to keep certain records, we retain only what is necessary and for only as long as necessary, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
10. Cookies
We use cookies strictly for sign-in and essential Platform functionality (for example, to keep you signed in and remember your session). We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers. Our visitor analytics does not rely on tracking cookies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent core features (such as staying signed in) from working.
11. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access and review the personal information we hold about you
- Update or correct inaccurate or incomplete information from your profile settings
- Delete your account and associated personal data
- Control which sections of your profile are publicly visible via privacy settings
- Withdraw consent for data processing where processing is based on consent
- Object to certain types of processing or request data portability, where applicable
- File a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@coderzon.com. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended solely for users aged 18 and above. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@coderzon.com and we will take steps to delete it.
13. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the rules thereunder, we have designated a Grievance Officer to address user complaints regarding privacy or data handling. Complaints will be acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days from the date of receipt.
